I wonder how near-death experiences can change the life of a person. I’ve never experienced this and honestly speaking I don’t want to be in this situation, but I read the story about how a near-death experience can change someone’s life.

Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked.”

It all sounds scary but it is the harsh reality. One day you, I and everyone will be dead. Most of us prefer to ignore this most basic fact of life, thinking about our inevitable end can help us to reshape our future and build a life we dreamed of.

We’ve all read stories of near-death experiences changing people’s lives. When George Lucas was a teenager, he almost died in a car accident. He decided “every day now is an extra day,” dedicated himself to film, and went on to direct Star Wars.

We must think about it every day. Our life has an endpoint and no one can change this fact. We should admire life. Take inspiration from other people who muddled through life before you. Focus on the goals, face failure but never give up. This life is so precious and the best we can do is to build something so people can remember your name.

Make a better world. Be a better version of yourself.
