A Piece of the Space Shuttle “Challenger” was Found in the Atlantic Ocean off the Coast of Florida.

More than 30 years after the space shuttle Challenger broke up and killed all seven people on board, a piece of it was found at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida.

NASA said in a news release on Thursday that a TV crew looking for the wreckage of a plane from World War II found the artifact (space shuttle Challenger) when divers found a “large human-made object” that was partly covered by sand.

The team contacted NASA because the artifact was close to the Florida Space Coast and because of how it was made.

A NASA official named Michael Ciannilli said that the piece is one of the biggest ones ever found.

“Upon first hearing about it, it brings you right back to 1986,” he said.
